Rick Prather is the Prepress Manager for MCG. In this role, Rick and his team have prepared digital files for print during the last two political cycles, assuring that the files were complete and ready to print according to MCG's high standards.
Rick has more than twenty-two years of experience in the graphic arts industry. He has extensive knowledge of digital imaging, desktop publishing, prepress and graphics software. Rick started his career working part-time for Naval Sea Systems Command as a graphic artist during college. After graduating from Howard University with a degree in Advertising/Design, he worked with design companies in D.C. and Virginia. Rick went on to work for Systems Research and Applications as Designer and Graphics Supervisor for many years.
In recent years, Rick has worked privately as a production designer for clients in the Washington, D.C., metro area. He continues to focus on graphic technologies, software and prepress.
