Matthew Nickols
Matthew Nickols serves as a Senior Designer at MCG.
As the lead designer for MCG's work on behalf of the Obama campaign and the DCCC, Matthew helped put forth the President's message in critical battleground states. His work also helped defeat incumbent Chris Shays in Connecticut, win Republican-held open seats in Arizona and New Mexico and re-elect Democratic members in Arizona, Georgia and New Hampshire.
Matthew came to MCG from Kaiser Permanente, where he worked as Brand Manager, overseeing brand development and guidelines.
Matthew's 15-year career in design includes work with Burson-Marsteller, where he spearheaded rebranding efforts and worked with well known clients such as Accenture, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing and The Coca-Cola Co. Matthew also served as Graphics Editor for The Washington Post Company, where he was nominated for a Pulitzer prize for his work surrounding the D.C. Sniper attacks. He is also the winner of several national and local awards, including 6 SNA awards of excellence.
A native Marylander, Matthew attended the University of Maryland Baltimore County, where he studied Visual Arts and Design.
