Alan Moore

Alan Moore is a Senior Vice President at Mack l Crounse Group, and has spent 12 cycles working in direct mail and consulting on all levels of campaigns: local, legislative, congressional, senatorial, gubernatorial and presidential.

In 2008, Alan helped elect four new Democratic Members of Congress - Ben Ray Luján (NM-3), Glenn Nye (VA-2), Tom Perriello (VA-5) and Gary Peters (MI-9) - three of whom defeated incumbent Republicans. Alan partnered with Jim Crounse and Dylan Sumner to create persuasion mail in Virginia and Florida for President Barack Obama's Campaign for Change. Obama won both states, becoming the first Democrat to carry Virginia since 1964. He also created mail for Richmond's new Mayor, Dwight Jones.

Alan has also created mail for the last four Virginia Coordinated Campaigns - helping Mark Warner and Barack Obama score historic victories in 2008, recapturing a Democratic State Senate in 2007, and helping elect Senator Jim Webb in 2006 and Governor Tim Kaine in 2005.

In 2007, Alan served as political advisor to Governor Tim Kaine of Virginia, overseeing his record investment in Virginia's first ever Coordinated Campaign for legislative races. Democrats gained a net of four seats in the House of Delegates and four in the Senate, retaking control of the Senate for the first time in over 10 years.

Alan has also held several other political/managerial roles - directing the statewide Coordinated Campaign in 2005 for Governor Tim Kaine; serving as Executive Director of the Democratic Party of Virginia in 2001; and managing legislative and congressional campaigns, including the campaign of then-House Caucus Chair Martin Frost.

A Mississippi native and graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, Alan got his start in politics as a White House intern and at the DCCC. He lives with his wife, Emily and their two dogs.
