The Miami Marlins and Their New Uniforms Come to Town
This blog post is more of a rant then a blog post.
Really Miami Marlins?! What is with these new uniforms?! I’m more of a purist when it comes to baseball logos and uniforms. Two, maybe three colors max. The Chicago White Sox & Cubs, the Detroit Tigers, my beloved Phillies, hell even the Yankees have kept the feel that baseball uni's should have.
This new Miami mark looks like a logo for a cosmetic company.
I miss the days when baseball players weren't models but dudes that if you look at them wrong would throw a high, inside fastball at you.
'93 macho row. Dirty, Mullet-wearing, Tobacco spitting baseball players. These were the guys I looked up to.
Baseball is not a fashion show.
And that’s what the new Miami Marlins logo reminds me of. The title graphic to Americas next top model or some crap like that.
Sorry Marlins, I think this is a failure on so many levels.
