Mack | Crounse Group Plays Pivotal Role in Historical Democratic Party Victory in Virginia.

MCG Senior Vice President Alan Moore led the VA Coordinated Campaign, which was the VA Democratic Party’s first “coordinated” effort carried out solely for state legislative campaigns.

This program helped reclaim the Virginia Senate for the first time in a decade and gained a net of 4 seats in the House of Delegates for the Democratic Party. Combining extensive field operations, direct mail and micro-targeting, this program successfully identified, persuaded and motivated targeted voters to achieve victories across the state.

MCG was also proud to provide outstanding direct mail for Virginia’s new Senate Majority Leader Richard Saslaw and new Senate Finance Chair Charles J. Colgan.

Initiatives and Referenda

• Utah – MCG developed and executed the direct mail program for Communities for Quality Education, Utahns for Public Schools and other progressive organizations, defeating Referendum 1, which would have resulted in millions of dollars being diverted from public schools to a private school voucher scheme. • Kentucky – Assisted the AFL-CIO with their member and household communications that helped elect Democrat Steve Beshear to the Governor’s Mansion.
• Pennsylvania – Helped elect 2 Democratic State Supreme Court Justices, shifting the balance of the state’s highest court, and helped put a Democratic State Superior Court Judge on the bench.

Local

• Maryland – Helped elect two female mayors in Maryland, including Sheila Dixon, Baltimore’s first female African American mayor and Susan Hoffmann in Rockville.
• Virginia – Helped re-elect Sharon Bulova to the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors and elect Susan Buckley to Loudoun County Board of Supervisors.
• Pennsylvania – Helped re-elect Wilkes-Barre Mayor Tom Leighton and elect Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter.
• Indiana – Helped re-elect Mayor Steve Luecke in South Bend and elect Tom Henry as Mayor in Ft. Wayne.
