In 2008, Indiana helped make history by supporting President Obama and delivering a Democratic victory statewide for the first time since 1964. In 2011, MCG was proud to work with Indiana Democrats, helping to lay the groundwork for future success by delivering wins in last Tuesday's local elections across the state.
In Fort Wayne, MCG helped return Mayor Tom Henry to office as he defeated Republican challenger Paula Hughes by 1,600 votes.

MCG also helped re-elect Sandy Kennedy as Fort Wayne City Clerk.
In South Bend, MCG client Pete Buttigieg followed up on his convincing primary victory by winning nearly three quarters of the vote and becoming the second youngest Mayor in the history of South Bend.

Also in South Bend, MCG helped elect Dr. Fred Ferlic, a well-respected orthopaedic surgeon who promised not to accept a salary if elected to office.
Congratulations to the candidates’ staff members and volunteers for their hard work paying off!
MCG congratulates Pete Buttigieg and his campaign on their decisive May 3rd victory in the South Bend Democratic mayoral primary. Pete received 55% of the total vote in the crowded five-way primary race, with his closest competitor trailing him by more than 30 points.
Pete focused his campaign on jobs and the economy, and building a fresh start for South Bend. MCG Partner Jim Crounse led the team that developed and implemented a direct mail plan highlighting Pete’s business background and new and innovative ideas to create jobs.
The piece shown below is an 8-page brochure which detailed Pete’s plan and vision for South Bend’s economic future. It was incorporated into subsequent mail pieces, helping to emphasize that Pete was the candidate with the experience and written plan needed to create jobs and turn South Bend’s economy around.

MCG was proud to be a part of Pete’s winning team along with campaign manager Mike Schmuhl, media consultants Martha McKenna and Jenn Pihlaja, and pollster Diane Feldman. Click here to see a news story on Buttigeig’s big win and see some of his victory speech.
